Happy Birthday to Me

For my birthday yesterday I had some friends over for breakfast. A couple asked why I was making breakfast at my house on my birthday. As you all know, I love to entertain, and plus, it's easier for me to have people over then for me to get myself and my girls somewhere else. I made the Whitehall favorite, banana and chocolate chip pancakes! Everyone at least pretended to love them, I didn't detect any fakers. We've been doing a breakfast morning at my place each week, but it has always been french toast, but since it was my birthday, I chose the pancakes. We had a fun morning, which lasted through the afternoon, playing games, and hanging out.

For dinner Brian took me to The River Room. We started with Buttermilk Fried Calamari, then I had the Roasted Rack of Lamb, and Brian had Chilean Seabass, and for dessert we had Chocolate Chip Cheesecake. It was, as Charles said, "scrumchioulicious!" (I would spell it a little different, scrump..hmm, not sure how to spell that!) Anyway, it was absolutely delicious. The perfect end to a great birthday.
