Excellent form of Birth Control

If for no other purpose, our new little puppy is an excellent form of birth control. You have all the obvious things, the teething, housebreaking, on a potty schedule, bathing. But the worst, getting up in the middle of the night, or too early in the morning to take him out. This is probably the hardest for us. Brian and I both NEED our sleep. Though it was only 6:30 when he woke up, this was just too early for us today. Usually I am up early to go to the gym and I take him down with me, but today I simply couldn't pull myself out of bed. So of course he sat there crying until Brian was sweet enough to finally get up and take him out.

It is wonderful to have him here though. I love him, and the girls absolutely adore him. It is so nice that they are finally getting over their fear of animals. This morning the girls decided to give Raffi a bath(without water, thank goodness.) They went through all the motions, cups of (pretend) water over his whole body, shampoo, water again, then all my clean towels to "dry" him off. They love to take care of him, whether it's feeding him food, water, or taking him for a walk. And they never hestitate to say a very loud "NO" if he's doing something he shouldn't be. All in all, he is a wonderful addition to our family.
