Peachtree Road Race

On the 4th of July, Brian and I ran, or rather, jogged the Peachtree Road Race. It was a 10K, which I've never done before. It is said to be the biggest 10K in North America, with about 55,000 people! It was so cool to see so many people flooding this incredibly busy street. We were way back in Group 8, and had to wait for all the people ahead of us to start(there were 9 groups). We didn't even cross the start line until 52 minutes and 10 seconds into the race! The winner was long done by then! When we signed up for the race back in March, Brian and I were both in pretty good shape. Over the past few months, since we moved out of our apartment, we have really slacked off. So this race was quite a challenge for both of us. Brian was kind enough to jog with me, and walk to the top of "Cardiac Hill" and a few other hills :) We will definitely run this race next year, and be in more optimal health so I don't have to walk those dang hills! Very cool, very fun!

Oh yeah, it was the most perfect weather for the race too. It has been in the 90's here, but that day it was overcast and about 70 degrees at the time of the race.

I would have probably died on Cardiac Hill, so you guys are in much better shape than I am.
